Maze Adventure: a guide for your next round

Choose a round of Maze Adventure and settle into its rules. Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

A small practice goal

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.

What the game asks you to do

Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Try to explain the aim in your own words.

The steps to play

  1. Start from the upper-left cell.
  2. Move through openings using arrow keys or direction buttons.
  3. You may also tap a neighbouring cell connected by an open passage.
  4. Reach the gold exit or generate a new maze.

How to use the controls

Arrow keys, on-screen direction buttons, or a click/tap on an adjacent reachable cell. Use the control method described here for this activity. Use one clear input at a time.

Follow the example

If a wall blocks the cell to your right, try another opening; the token cannot move through walls. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Keep the controls nearby.

Watch out for this

Only immediately adjacent cells can be reached in one move. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
